The window of tolerance refers to the optimal zone of arousal in which a person can function effectively.
Inside this window, we can think clearly, manage emotions, relate to others, and respond flexibly to challenges.
When someone is within their window of tolerance, they tend to regulate emotions effectively; stay engaged, focused, and productive; and think rationally and make sound decisions.
